Orientation Week Semester 1 2010
USC welcomed a record 3,200 new students during 2010 Orientation Week.
Our student population has now grown to more than 7,500 and includes around 900 international students.
Academic and social activities kept our students well-informed and entertained throughout O-Week.

Our international students met USC International support staff, joined information sessions and enjoyed guided tours of the campus.
Social activities included free student barbecues, live entertainment and a community market.
Sporting events included the World Cup Soccer Challenge which saw Germany beat Australia 10-8.
USC sporting and social clubs were attracting new members and offering numerous opportunities for international students to meet Australian students.
The new UniClub is nearing completion and will soon provide a place for all USC students to meet, relax and enjoy social or sporting activities.
STA Travel has been busy advising international students about up-coming activities at special student rates including camping trips to Fraser Island, surfing safaris to Byron Bay and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.
Many students took bus tours of Sunshine Coast beaches, hinterland, residental and business centres while others enjoyed the Fraser Island Orientation Camp.
It was a great week and ideal preparation for academic life on campus and personal life off campus.
